Bananeira T-shirt
The Madeira banana is a subspecies that developed on the island, traditionally smaller than the South American banana but accentuated in the palate. The banana tree was introduced in the island of Madeira in the 16th century, probably coming from Cape Verde. It is a herbaceous plant widely cultivated in the agricultural lands designated of poios, and irrigated by irrigation channels, the levadas.
