Set in the serene, rural landscape of Madeira at the bio-hotel Quinta da Serra, this one-week gathering invites you into a softer rhythm of life. Days will unfold naturally between shared meals, quiet moments in the gardens, and creative techniques being explored.

Unlike generic tourism, this is a real cultural expedition to the art of embroidery. You will live the authentic artisan lifestyle alongside local master embroiderers with more than 50 years of know-how. Alongside David, the founder of Bailha, and Micaela, our international host, you will be guided by Helena da Silva and Dorina Pita, who will share their stories and techniques passed down through generations. It is a space where cultures meet and heritage continues alive.

Madeira is an island in the middle of the Atlantic and
sometimes flights may be delayed or diverted due to adverse weather conditions. If you are unable to arrive on time, or if you need to extend your stay on the island, these costs are not covered by Bailha or the Bio Hotel Quinta da Serra. For your complete peace of mind, we recommend to purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers weather-related flight disruptions and cancellations.
