Program

Discover the Art of Madeira Embroidery in a workshop guided by a local embroiderer, where you will have the opportunity to embroider a piece of your choice.

In this immersive experience, you’ll get to know the cultural and historical context of this centuries-old artistic expression and learn the stitches that have marked the island’s artisanal identity for generations.

Guided step-by-step by an experienced embroiderer, you’ll start with introductory exercises and progress to traditional techniques such as the rope stitch, granito, and matiz.

In the end, you’ll be able to apply your ideas to a cotton tote bag or T-shirt, or a linen napkin, creating a unique and memorable piece.

All material is included: threads, needles, thimbles, and the piece to embroider.

Notas:

Este workshop destina-se a todas as pessoas que queiram aprender as técnicas de bordado de forma contínua. O Atelier é ministrado em português e inglês. 

O workshop apenas se realiza com um mínimo de 5 pessoas inscritas. Se o número mínimo não for atingido três dias antes do evento, os participantes já inscritos serão contactados para reembolso ou troca do valor do workshop por um vale de compras. Se a aula for cancelada por motivos de força maior, aplicar-se-á o mesmo procedimento.

Cancelamentos/devoluções: A taxa de inscrição será reembolsada às pessoas que não possam participar no seminário por qualquer motivo e que nos comuniquem a sua desistência com antecedência até 2 dias antes.
